Tanya Barrow grew up in the Virginia Beach area as a "military brat". In 1992 her family relocated to her husband's hometown of Murray, Kentucky where they spent 12 wonderful years, until returning to the Hampton roads area in 2004. Tanya has been married for 20 years to James Barrow of Murray Kentucky, they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Their son is currently employed at QED and has two wonderful children. Their daughter Rebecca is a 2007 graduate of Denbigh High School and is currently attending Christopher Newport University, and their daughter Morgan is a freshman with Denbigh High School.
Tanya has been the Denbigh High School band booster president since 2007, she served as co chairperson for the Denbigh High School Marching Patriot Invitational in 2006, she served as the chairperson for the Denbigh High School Marching Patriot Invitational for 2007 and 2008. Tanya started working with the Denbigh High School PTSA in the 2006-2007 school year when their was a rumor that there would not be an after prom for her daughters class. She served as the Vice President of the PTSA for the 2006-2007 school year, she was reelected for the 2007-2008 school year, but upon the resignation of the president stepped up to the President position in November of 2007 which is the position that she still holds today.
Tanya attended Murray State University working toward a bachelors degree in Business, upon moving to Virginia Tanya placed her education on hold and is currently seeking enrollment to Christopher Newport to complete her education. Her personal interests include, spending time with her family, reading, her current favorite is the Twilight series, and traveling. |

Emily Lafountain is currently a senior at Denbigh High School. This is her second year as Secretary for the Denbigh High School PTSA. She is the president of the National Honor Society, a member of the German Honor Society, and was also selected for the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. She is an Alpha Omega Mentor and this is her fourth year playing varsity soccer. Her personal interests include, running, reading, designing and every kind of sport. |
